Making it Look Bigger

In most mobile homes, bathrooms are smaller and usually cramped. Now, mobile home owners can improve their bathroom without having to add any square footage in your bathroom. By doing so, not only will you have more space to move around, but the end result will definitely add value to the home.

Use the power of vertical stripes which can be added to pale or white walls to draw people's eyes upwards. Consider patterns that are fun and creative to open the bathroom. To contrast the vertical stripes on the walls, use floors that are light in colour and do away and minimal accessories to avoid clutter.

If you want to use wallpaper, opt something with smaller or delicate print or texture. In addition, use illusive mirrors to give the illusion of a bigger space and place them in strategic places to make it look twice as large. Furthermore, if you have large vanity cabinets inside the bathroom or other large storage cabinets, this makes your bathroom look cramped. Replace this furniture with a light coloured pedestal sink. Find alternative places to store the items in your vanity cabinet. Opt for a porcelain sink with stainless steel, brass or pewter taps and handles to give it a more modern appearance. Instead of a medicine cabinet, use shelves to store items and hang a medium sized mirror over the sink.

If your bathroom has a sliding glass or plastic door, do away with it and replace it with a light coloured shower curtain instead. You will alleviate the cramped feeling of being in a small room by doing so. As a finishing touch, make sure that you hang an exhaust fan to eliminate humidity and foul odours that linger in a smaller bathroom.
