The first thing to do is to de-clutter the mobile home. A careful inspection of everything inside it and ridding it of all clothing, appliances, boxes, newspapers and other items is very important. The process itself will create more space in the home. If you cannot afford to throw it in the bin, then you can store them away in boxes in an organised manner. While you are de-cluttering the place, you can also try rearranging the furniture. By this time, you will have more room for moving things around.

Choose light, cool colours that add the look and feel of spaciousness in your mobile home. Paint walls with soft tones like blue or green will give it an open, airy feel. In addition, proper lighting will greatly contribute to achieve what you are aiming for. Each room should have plenty of light like overheads, hanging fixtures, track lighting, floor lamps as well as table lamps. Make sure to add more light in smaller rooms. You can also add mood lighting to make it more elegant.

Try not to use heavy curtains or draperies for windows as they can be bulky and does not make the room look spacious. Moreover, use reflective materials to make areas appear bigger. There are different styles to choose from that are appealing and fit exactly to the design in mind. Finally, choose a few bigger pieces of furniture over several small ones. Too much furniture will only make the place look smaller.
